SHAWN CHENG

Shawn has over 13 years of experience in venture capital, start-ups, media & advertising. Currently a Partner at ConsenSys Labs, Shawn is looking for the best founders in the world looking to use Ethereum and blockchain technology.

Prior to Consensys, Shawn was a Principal at Vayner/RSE, Gary Vaynerchuk’s early stage venture capital firm. His responsibilities included sourcing, diligence, portfolio maintenance and driving growth for the team.

Prior to joining Vayner, Shawn specialized in Digital Strategy, Social Media and Search Marketing at global agencies like BBDO and Razorfish for 10 years. Companies and sector experience ranged from travel, consumer products, retail and non-profit like: Mondelez, GE, Foot Locker, Victoria’s Secret and Starwood Hotels, charitywater.

Originally from Los Gatos, California, he now lives in New York. Shawn is passionate about improving the world and illuminating issues of inequality, poverty, education so we can all reach our collective human potential.
